Starting January 1st, 2025, Milan will implement a complete ban on smoking in all outdoor public spaces. The ban, part of a 2020 air quality regulation, extends the existing restrictions that currently apply in specific areas like parks, public transportation stops, and playgrounds. Exceptions will be made for designated isolated areas where smokers must maintain a distance of 10 meters from others. The local police will be responsible for enforcing the new regulations.
